Averette Engineering Co., P.A. has been in business for over fifty years. The firm was first started as Charles D. Averette, Engineer in June of 1970 by Charles D. Averette and one employee, Larry King.

Since that time, we have continued to grow. On the 8th day of March 1973, we incorporated into Averette and King Engineering Co., P.A. with Charles D. Averette as President, Larry King as vice-president, and Ronald Sanders as Secretary-Treasurer.

In March 1974, Charles D. Averette and Larry King purchased Kinston Engineering Co. and on November 1, 1974 merged Kinston Engineering Associates, Inc. with Averette and King Engineering Co., P.A.

On the 4th day of January 1991, Michael D. Averette became a registered land surveyor in the state of North Carolina.

On the 22nd day of June 1995, Michael D. Averette became a professional engineer in the state of Georgia. On the 30th of November 1995, he also received reciprocity to practice engineering in the state of North Carolina.

In June 2000, Michael D. Averette was appointed president of the company and Charles D. Averette assumed the title of Consultant to the President.

Averette Engineering opened a branch office in Raeford, NC in 1999. We are an expanding, growing company.

Our projects have been varied. We have performed engineering services on subdivisions, roads, water main extensions, sanitary sewer extensions, school sites, apartment sites and other civil engineering type projects.
